Sinopsis Drama Descendant of The Sun
Kisah dimulai dari sebuah kecelakaan yang melibatkan seorang pencopet, anggota Special Forces (Pasukan Khusus) Militer Korea, Yoo Shi Jin, bertemu dengan seorang dokter bedah super sibuk Kang Mo Yeon. Call it love at the first sight; romansa terbentuk di antara mereka berdua. Namun tuntutan pekerjaan membuat Yoo Shi Jin menjadi sosok yang misterius dan seringkali terpaksa pergi di tengah acara kencan mereka berdua. Hal itu membuat Kang Mo Yeon memutuskan untuk mengakhiri hubungan mereka.
Beberapa waktu kemudian, sebuah insiden dengan kepala rumah sakit tempatnya bekerja membuat Kang Mo Yeon dikirim paksa ke sebuah misi sukarela (notice the pun?) ke sebuah negeri bernama Uruk. Di sana, secara mengejutkan, ia kembali dipertemukan dengan Yoo Shi Jin yang bekerja bersama Pasukan Penjaga Perdamaian PBB. Apakah takdir berusaha untuk tetap menyatukan mereka?
